When should I engage Biller Associates?
Right away. Don’t wait and risk making a mistake, put the experience adjusters at Biller to work for you immediately. The burden of protecting your property, mitigating and preserving the damages and preparing and submitting your claim is your duty, not your insurance company’s. We will be there for you assisting with every step.
What is a public insurance adjuster?
A public insurance adjuster is an authority on loss adjustments that you can retain to assist you in preparing, filing and adjusting your insurance claims. Public insurance adjusters represent you, the insured, not the insurance company.
Is Biller Associates connected with any insurance company?
No. We work exclusively for you – the policyholder – not the insurance company.
What types of claims does Biller Associates handle?
We handle all types of insured losses to residential and commercial property including: fire, flood, ice, windstorm, frozen pipes, vandalism, theft and all other property losses.
How can Biller Associates help me?
We see the details insurance companies may overlook. We will relieve you of the many time-consuming and difficult burdens involved in preparing, filing and negotiating your claim. We will ensure that you receive a prompt and fair settlement.
Can I prepare my own claim?
Yes, but it stands to reason that the experienced professionals at Biller Associates will do so with more competence. After all, most people have never even read their policy, let alone adjusted a claim.
What is the extent of Biller Associates responsibility?
We will assist you with every phase of your claim, including but not limited to securing your property, coordinating the damage mitigation efforts, evaluating your insurance coverage, preparing and submitting all of the necessary damage repair estimates, contents inventories and business interruption/additional living expense/loss of use claims. We will keep you informed of progress and help you file all of the necessary paperwork and proofs of loss. We will negotiate on your behalf to achieve a maximum settlement of your claim.
How do you determine the actual loss?
A member of the Biller Team will be onsite to inspect and document the damages, and then we will do everything necessary to make sure you receive the maximum benefit your policy has to offer. Our inventory specialists will sift through the damage and compile a physical inventory of your personal property losses. We will also calculate and compile your business interruption/additional living expense/loss of use claim.
Am I free to choose any contractor of my choice?
Yes, neither your insurance company nor Biller Associates will dictate what contractor you should use. You are free to choose any contractor you want. Of course, we can offer informed advice.
Won't my insurance company provide me with an adjuster?
Your insurance company will send out its own adjuster to protect its own interest. The burden of preparing, filing and documenting your claim is on you, not the insurance company. The insurance company adjuster will analyze your claim based on the best interests of his/her employer, the insurance company. Biller Associates staff of experienced adjusters, on the other hand, will relieve you of the tremendous burden of preparing, filing and documenting your claim. We will assess your coverage and estimate your claim based on your interests.
Will my claim take longer if I hire Biller Associates?
Every claim is unique and there is no specified time within which a claim must be resolved. Biller Associates will do everything possible to resolve your claim quickly and ensure that you do not give up any of your rights or sacrifice legitimate recovery costs in the process. Most claims are wrought with obstacles and the average person’s lack of experience can delay the process and possibly cost them thousands of dollars.
Can I call Biller Associates if I’ve already submitted my claim and started the process?
Yes, we can alleviate the entire burden if you call us promptly. Please feel free to call us as soon as you recognize that you need an experienced professional.
How much do you charge?
Our fee is a small percentage of the claim settlement and we don’t get paid unless, and until, you do. Biller Associates knows the ins and outs of the claims process and how to streamline a successful settlement of your claim without making hasty decisions that could cost you money. There is no retainer fee and we cover our own expenses.
